UPDATE: The 49’ers are backing out of the “It Gets Better’ video to support the anti-bullying of GLTBQ kids. HERE Some one has to say it: Bad karma for the big game.
Chris Culliver, a black bigot and San Francisco 49ers football player who will be playing in the Super Bowl on Sunday, used a Super Bowl media event to reportedly tell all gays to get out of the NFL.
“I don’t do the gay guys man,” said Culliver, whose Niners play the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday. “I don’t do that. No, we don’t got no gay people on the team, they gotta get up out of here if they do.
“Can’t be with that sweet stuff. Nah…can’t be…in the locker room man. Nah.”
When quizzed by Lange whether any homosexual athletes would need to keep their sexuality a secret in football, Culliver responded: “Yeah, come out 10 years later after that.”
“The San Francisco 49ers have just issued some bs statement about Chris Cullier’s bigotry – and the statement says pretty much nothing at all:
“The San Francisco 49ers reject the comments that were made yesterday, and have addressed the matter with Chris. There is no place for discrimination within our organization at any level. We have and always will proudly support the LGBT community.”
You “reject” them? That’s nice of you. And you “addressed” it. How? What kind of bs non-answer is this from the San Francisco 49ers? Their player made incredibly bigoted statements at an official NFL Super Bowl event. And the 49ers respond with “we’ve addressed it.” I don’t think so. What do the 49ers plan to do to address the incredibly bigotry that one of their players showed during an official NFL Super Bowl event? This wasn’t even an apology.”
NEWS FLASH from ‘SWEET STUFF” 49ers fans:
We don’t gots no tolerance from bigots on our team, theys gotta get up outta here if theys do. How does that sound? First clue: Don’t mess with the thousands of gay 49er fans.
I couldn’t get through on the link in the first paragraph, but I’m shocked they are pulling out of the campaign. Given their player’s bigoted comments, I’d think they’d want to step up their involvement in this. The guy’s apology was lame, too, “It was in my head but it’s not what’s in my heart.” Lame times infinity. Assholes are everywhere.
Thanks Tara—-fixed the link to Americablog.
This is a really inelgtilent way to answer the question.
